What is Medical Resurfacing?
Medical Resurfacing is a micro-needling treatment used to regenerate and revitalise the appearance of the skin.
How does micro-needling work?
Micro-needling creates tiny punctures in the skin, activating the skin’s own repair mechanism. The tiny needle punctures activate fibroblast cells, which stimulate collagen production.
Collagen is the main structural component of the skin, and it is the loss of collagen as we age that causes lines, wrinkles and sagging of the skin. Stimulating collagen by activating the skin’s own repair process therefore rejuvenates the skin, leaving it looking plumper, fresher and younger.
Is micro-needling only for lines and wrinkles?
No, micro-needling can significantly improve the appearance of sun damaged skin, acne scars, stretch marks, scars, trauma and burns.
