Dr Najma Hussain, MBBS DRCOG MRCGP
Dr Hussain, Medcare’s founding GP, trained and qualified as a doctor at Guy’s and St Thomas’ hospitals, London, in the mid-1990s. She then went on to train as a GP in Reading. Her further qualifications include the Diploma of the Royal College of Gynaecologists and Obstetricians and membership of the Royal College of General Practitioners. Timothy Holt, dentist
Tim graduated from Leeds University and has worked in the UK as a dentist in the NHS and private practice. He owned and ran a dental clinic in Blackburn for 25. He has more than 30 years experience in dentistry and brings a wealth of experience in all aspects of dental treatment. Having treated many thousands of patients, there is little in dentistry Tim has not seen and dealt with. Tim is registered with the UK General Dental Council and the Alicante Dental College.

 

Alicia Villamayor Pitarch dentist

Alicia gained her dental degree at Trinity College in Dublin. She has had extensive work experience in general dentistry in Dublin and Singapore as well as gaining experience in crowns, bridges, veneers and implantology.

 

 

Daniel Oliveros Soria, Dental implantologist

Daniel is our expert implantologist and takes care of all implant surgery at Medcare. Daniel, who has 20 years dentistry experience, studied dentistry at Barcelona University before going on to take many specialist courses in both Barcelona and Madrid. After working as a general dentist for two years, Daniel specialised in oral surgery, periodontics and implants.

 

 

Steve Ashley, psychologist and psychotherapist
Steve Ashley has been with Medcare since we opened in 2005. He is a graduate psychologist with a post-graduate qualification in psychotherapy, holding registrations with the London-based UK Council for Psychotherapists, the European Association of Psychotherapy in Vienna, the Ministry of Science and Innovation in Madrid and the Official College of Psychotherapists in Valencia. Steve holds weekly surgeries in the Medcare clinics. He deals with problems such as depression, child sexual and physical abuse, addictions, bereavement and rape. Steve was instrumental in setting up the Samaritans for English speakers in Spain.

 

Susan McCrossan, nurse

Susie trained as a nurse at Dumfries & Galloway College of Nursing & Midwifery, Scotland, and has specialist qualifications in critical care, diabetes and palliative care. She continued her nursing career in Scotland until 2004 when she moved to Spain, settling first in Menorca. Susie has experience in many branches of nursing, including geriatrics and mental health, emergency medicine, coronary care and intensive care. See more about Nursing Services here.

 

 

Dr Pedro Lloret Luna, Dermatologist

Dr Lloret qualified as a dermatologist at Clinica Universitaria Navarra, Pamplona, Spain. He continued his studies in the USA, with a fellowship at the Department of Dermatology, Rhode Island, and Phlebology training in San Diego. He has also undertaken fellowships in the UK and Germany, and has extensive experience in cutaneous surgery. Dr Lloret has been published several times in eminent American and British dermatological journals.    He is a member of the Spanish Association of Dermatologists, the American College of Phlebology and the Spanish Group of Cutaneous Surgery. Dr Lloret speaks English, German, and Spanish.
