Patient story – dental implants

James Barclay (centre) was delighted with his dental treatment at Medcare. Here he tells his story –

I was working away, in Turkmenistan, when I got a toothache in one of my front teeth. It felt wobbly so I went to see a local dentist thinking he would take the tooth out. Instead, he recommended all kinds of weird and wonderful treatments so I decided it would be better to wait until I could see my dentist in Spain, whom I knew and trusted – Rocio (right)at Medcare.

On my return, Rocio took x-rays, which revealed that my gums had receded and only bone was holding my two lower front teeth in.

After consulting with Daniel (left), the Medcare dental implant surgeon, it was decided the best course of action was to replace four lower teeth with two implants and a bridge joining the two implants.

I felt completely confident going ahead as I had already had implants with Medcare a year or so earlier.

Once again my treatment was excellent and my ‘new’ teeth look completely natural. My first implants feel just like real teeth and I know the new implants will do also when they have bedded in.
