Dr Najma Hussain, MBBS DRCOG MRCGP
Dr Hussain, Medcare’s GP, trained and qualified as a doctor at Guy’s and St Thomas’ hospitals, London, in the mid 1990s. She then went on to train as a GP in Reading. Her further qualifications include the Diploma of the Royal College of Gynaecologists and Obstetricians and membership exam of the Royal College of General Practitioners.
Dr Jorge Horacio Esbry, MD, ASPRS, cosmetic surgeon
Dr Esbry is registered with the UK General Medical Council and has more than 20 years experience in aesthetic and reconstructive surgery. His qualifications are first rate and he has hundreds of satisfied patients. Dr Esbry’s wealth of experience covers everything from working as the plastic surgeon for the Argentinean navy to being the founder plastic surgeon and Chief of the Department of Plastic Surgery and Burns at the Chaco Clinic, Argentina. He has also worked in the US.
Marcos Morote, osteopath and physiotherapist
Marcos qualified as a physiotherapist at Valencia University and later took post-graduate courses in osteopathy at universities in Barcelona. He also has professional qualifications from institutions throughout Europe, including St Thomas’ Hospital in London. He has been practising for almost 15 years. Marcos uses osteopathy and physiotherapy to treat a range of painful conditions, including back and neck pain, frozen shoulder, whiplash, repetitive strain injury and migraines. Born in Canada, Marcos speaks English, Spanish and French.
Timothy Holt - dentist
Tim graduated from Leeds University in 1978 and has worked in the UK as a dentist in both the NHS and private practice. He owned and operated a dental practice in Blackburn for 25 years until 2010. With 33 years overall experience in dentistry, Tim brings our patients a wealth and depth of experience in all aspects of dental treatment. Having treated many thousands of patients over the years, there is very little in dentistry Tim has not seen and dealt with, and having him as part of the Medcare team allows us to offer our British patients high quality dental care with no language barrier. Tim remains registered with the UK General Dental Council and is also fully registered with the Alicante Dental College.
Steve Ashley, psychologist and psychotherapist
Steve Ashley has been with Medcare since we opened in 2005. He is a graduate psychologist with a post-graduate qualification in psychotherapy, holding registrations with the London-based UK Council for Psychotherapist, the European Association of Psychotherapy in Vienna, the Ministry of Science and Innovation in Madrid and the Official College of Psychotherapists in Valencia. Steve holds weekly surgeries in the Medcare clinics. He deals with problems such as depression, child sexual and physical abuse, addictions, bereavement and rape.
Cristina Pérez Sánchez, dentist
Cristina Pérez Sánchez qualified as a dentist at Murcia University and is currently studying part time for a master’s degree in managing and delivering dental services for older people. Cristina has also undertaken many specialist courses in aspects of dentistry, including implant technology and bone regeneration and teeth whitening. Cristina is fluent in English and also speaks German.
Sanne Wolff, chiropodist
Sanne Wolff trained as a nurse in her native Holland, working first in a hospital and later in a home for the elderly. She qualified as a chiropodist in Amsterdam and underwent specialist training in diabetic foot care, foot reflexology and aromatherapy. Sanne had her own practice in Zaandam before moving to Spain in 2002, where she has continued to work as a chiropodist. Sanne joined Medcare in 2010. Sanne speaks English, Dutch and Spanish.
