Dr Hussain is the reason Medcare exists. She started the clinic because she saw there was a real need for a British GP.
She had trained and qualified as a doctor at Guy’s and St Thomas’ hospitals, London, in the mid-1990s. She then went on to train as a GP in Reading. Her further qualifications include the Diploma of the Royal College of Gynaecologists and Obstetricians and membership of the Royal College of General Practitioners
As Dr Hussain had previously worked as a GP for the NHS, she therefore aimed to base her new GP surgery on NHS practices and guidelines.
This means that British patients can access medical care in a language and format that is familiar to them – including screening and preventative medicine, which many of our patients were missing out on.
While Dr Hussain has continued to provide a first-rate GP clinic, she was keen to expand her professional knowledge and skills.
