Two or three times a year we are lucky to welcome specialist UK diabetes nurse Dorothy Cook to Medcare.
Dorothy holds a free meeting where she shares her knowledge with people with diabetes, their families and anyone else who wants to know more about the disease.
We believe these meetings are very important as they ensure everyone has access to all the latest information about treatments and living with diabetes.
Dorothy will give a talk on the latest research, treatments and lifestyle recommendations, and answer any questions and concerns.
There is also an opportunity to have a private consultation with Dorothy, although for this there is a fee and an appointment must be booked in advance.

Plus, €1 blood test
From now until the end of October, 2015, we are offering a fasting plasma glucose test for only €1.
This test is used to diagnose diabetes as raised blood sugar levels after fasting are an indication that a person could have diabetes.
