The pain started when I was in my mid-20s. I am now 47 and had really had enough.
The weight pressing on my spine was giving me sciatica, I had shooting pains down my legs, my fingers and feet were tingling and I was losing my grip. My neck was also affected and it was becoming unbearable.
I was depressed and frustrated because of the pain. And the thought that it could only go on getting worse was leaving me feeling desperate.”
Jayne had tried to get breast reduction surgery on the NHS because of the health problems the weight of her breasts was causing. The NHS refused, and knowing she could not go on any longer as she was, Jayne came to us.
Like so many of our breast reduction patients, Jayne describes the surgery as life changing.

The actress who had a breast reduction when she was a teenager said: “There’s something very awkward about women and their breasts because men look at them so much. When they’re huge, you become very self-conscious. Your back hurts. You find that whatever you wear, you look heavy. It’s uncomfortable.”
Ariel Winter
